History & Specialisations
Founded in 1962, Ateliers Gohard is the pre-eminent French workshop for architectural gilding, decorative painting, and the restoration of historical heritage interiors. From the golden gates of Versailles to the flame of the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Dôme des Invalides, three generations of master gilders have preserved rare traditional water-gilding (dorure à la détrempe) and oil-size gilding techniques on stone, wood, and metal.
